My boss is a cold, sarcastic person!!

Today I started my third week as an intern. I know,I haven't been updating lately, but I've really tired. I never knew the 8-5 working hours would be so exhausting. I couldn't anything when I got home. I was just always too tired. Because this is a Monday, I'm not that tired, and this is the third week, so I'm starting to get the hang of it.

On to my boss.

I just met him today as he was giving me my assignment. He asked me what the Uni required me to do. I said the Uni doesn;t even require me to do any internship. Thinking that he now doesn't have anything to use against me and force me to work hard, he decided to make me work out of guilt by first saying that this program is not cheap labour, and that he is actually doing me a favour. Well, he said it's atwo-way favour, as he will benefit from it too, but whatever. And then he said "Just remember that you are working for us, and we're paying you, so we expect results." Please know that he said this in the coldest way possible. I had goosebumps.

So now I have to work hard. I have to remind myself everyday that I'm on the payroll, and I have to do what other emplyees do, even though I'm just being paid RM400 a month. I have to do it right. I'm carrying on my shoulders my name, may father's name, and the names of all the first year interns around the world.

At least they gave me a huge office instead of a cubicle.

Pirates Stink, Superman Rocks!!!!!!

Yes. I saw both movies, and I was right. I always tell myself that I never trust Disney with big-budget live-action movies, and this latest outing is no difference. Let's just say that the first Pirates movie was an exception. The follow-up is a total stinker. Despite being a totally boring movie loaded with high-tech visual effects, Pirates of the Carribean : Dead Man's Chest went on to break the four-year weekend box-office record by taking in $135 million in three days, and becoming the first movie ever to hit the $100 million mark in 2 days. Why? because it's a Disney movie, and it's a sequel to a very good movie. Disney movies always have excellent marketing campaigns, and with the reputation gained by the first one, the big opening weekend was expected. Superman Returns had to open on Wednesday just to get a good headstart, as everyone expected Dead Man's Chest would be huge. The question is: was the $225 million produstion cost worth it? NO!!! When I was watching it, I couldn't get myself to enjoy it. I have to say that I was really impressed with the visual effects. The CGI's actually look real!! And that's the ONLY nice thing I can say about the movie.

Speaking of realistic CGI's, Superman Returns had CGI'ed Brandon Routh, and the images looked so cartoonish. But the movie was GREAT!!!!! I knew it's a great movie right form the opening credits. You see, i have a thing for opening credits. So in my opinion, it is crucial for a good movie to have a good opening credits. Dead Man's Chest did not have openinng credits. Anyway, when I was watching Superman, and the Big Superman logo comes on, I actually had goosebumps!! Now THAT'S a great movie. There're only 2 bad things I can say about Superman Returns: The CGI of Brandon Routh looked fake, and Kate Boswoth's hair looked like she hadn't had a shower in 10 years. Seriously. I constantly went "GO WASH YOUR HAIR, GIRL!!!" Other than those, it was awesome!! That's why I went to see it twice, and possibly a few time more.
