Pancake Day

Last night, after dinner (where I had a plate of pasta and then a plate of rice), Iris walked in and say "Hey! It's Pancake Day!! Let's make some panckaes!!" So we called Sven, and asked him if he wanted to join. He said yes, so we told him to go to Sainsbury's to buy the ingredients. While waiting for Sven, Emma walked in with HER ingerients, telling us she was making pancakes as well. So Iris and I went "Let's compete! We'll see whose pancakes taste better." Emma had some guy from the West buiding, Chris to help her flip the pancakes, So we had 2 teams.

"Iron Chef : Pancake Day Special" was on.
We mixed our batter using a hand-blender, to make sure it was smooth, while Emma was struggling to wisk hers with her fork!! Emma didn't have a frying pan, so she borrowed Andy's, which I think is at least 5 years old. We used Iris' posh Tefal pan, and it was great. While Chris struggled to flip Emma's pancakes using a spatula, I was flipping ours by just moving theposh Tefal pan like a pro. Emma and Chris had their pancakes just with plain sugar, while we had a variety of toppings - home-made cinnamon sugar, jam and lemon curd, courtesy of Sven. Obviously, the Khalid-Iris-Sven team won.

Jon walked in, had one pancake, and I said "Hey! Are we still watching Ju On 2?" He was like "OK. Come on people! Let's all watch it. It's Japanese.I'm well scared already!!" So we went to Sven's room and watched it. Jon was scared all the time, and Chris and Emma were discussing the plot, which was totally unnecessary, distracting, and ruined the whole movie. Ju On was much scarier, but this one would have been a lot scarier if we had at least paid full attention to it.

After the movie, Jon played this weird sound machine he found in Stateless practice, and I showed Sven and Jon the pilot episode of Desperate Housewives. I went to bed at 2 a.m.

I woke up this morning, jumped out of bed, scared to death because I just remembered that I had a maths courework due today, and I hadn't started.

Shit!!!
