Crazy Saturday
Yesterday morning I woke up quite early 'cuz Adelheid and Iris wanted to have pancake for breakfast at 9. After breakfast, I went to Oxford Street to find a long-sleeve white top to wear underneath the top Liza gave me for birthday, for IC Malaysian night. It was fun! It was a good day, sunny and a bit warm. I ended up buying a white top from Esprit, and they gave me student's discount. Super!
I went home, had lunch and went upstairs to try on my new top. I bumped into Sven and he told me he had three tickets to go on The Big Bus Tour. It's one of those topless buses that goes around London, and the ticket included a cruise on River Thames. He asked me if wanted to go, so I told him about IC Malaysian Night, saying I may not have the time to go.
Bummer.
I went into my room, tried the outfit on, and took a nap. At around 1515hrs Sven knocked on my door, and he told me he's going with Hanne on the tour, and asked me again if I wanted to go with them. I said I had to see Liza, Farahana, et al at Russel Square tube at 1745hrs, and I don't want to rush. He insisted, so I said "What the heck? let's just go!" So we went to Russel Square to board the topless bus.
The top deck was really cold, and because the bus was moving, really windy (duh!), but it was fun. I took lot's of pictures, and I suggested to Hanne and Sven that we should pretend to be tourists. It was easy because we were all foreigners.

a view of the Tower Bridge from London Bridge , and the Clock Tower, just after sunset.
We reached The Tower of London at about 1705hrs, and the tour guide said we could take the cruise from the pier there. So we got off the bus and went to the pier. The cruise was amazing! One of the safety guys acted as our guide, telling us about the building along the River Thames, and he was wickedly funny! We reached the Westminster Pier at 1745hrs, I was late, so there was no time to get changed. So i just took the tube to South Kensington from there, and as I reach the station, I called Liza and asked for directions. It went something like this:-
"You go out of the station to -blablabla- Street, I dunno la what the street is, but there's a W in the name of the street. if go out and you see Paul(as in the bakery) you know it's the right street la. And then you right, and then take a left, go straight, cross the big road and everything, and then you will see an "Underground" sign, there's two, and after the second one, take the first left, and then go straight for like ten years, and then you will see a banner that says IC Malaysian Night, it's there."
I couldn't remember all of the left and right, so I just followed my instincts, with bits of the directions given in my head, and after the second Underground sign, I saw a bunch of Malaysians, so I just followed them, assuming that they were on their way to IC Malaysian Night, and they were. Pheww!!
I was wearing the same top that I wore at the UCL Malaysian Night as i didn;t have the time to change into my new outfit, so I was a bit scared that some outfit-rememberer would recognize it. Nobody said anything. Double Phewwww!!!!
The show? hhhmmmm.. I didn't completely hate it, just not crazy about it.
